1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using ZeroLatch, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Service Description
ZeroLatch is an encrypted future-delivery service. It can send a prepared delivery to an intended recipient after a missed check-in and safety period. Files are encrypted in the browser. Simple access uses managed recovery; Private access uses a password or generated recovery phrase that ZeroLatch does not store.
3. Account Responsibilities
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
- You are responsible for keeping your account email current and your password secure.
- You must not use the service for illegal purposes or to store illegal content.
- You must be at least 18 years old to use ZeroLatch.
4. Check-ins and delivery
Check-ins tell ZeroLatch that everything is okay. If you miss the configured check-in deadline, reminders and the safety period occur before an eligible delivery is sent to its intended recipient. The sender may ask the recipient to confirm in advance or accept the risk of verification at delivery.
Delivery is irreversible once recipient access has been issued. It is your responsibility to check in regularly and keep contact information current.
5. Payment & Billing
- ZeroLatch is a paid service. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe, according to the billing period you select.
- New monthly and annual subscriptions include a 14-day trial and require a payment method. Unless cancelled during the trial, the selected subscription charge begins when the trial ends.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly or annual billing period unless cancelled before renewal.
- If you schedule a same-plan change from monthly to annual billing after paid monthly service begins, the change and annual charge take effect at the next renewal date shown before confirmation. No immediate prorated charge is made.
- A failed payment creates a billing issue. It does not count as a missed check-in.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the billing period.
- Refund requests are reviewed under the policy shown at purchase and any rights required by applicable law.
6. Limitation of Liability
ZeroLatch is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for data loss, missed notifications, delivery failures, or damages arising from use of the service. Private passwords and recovery phrases cannot be recovered if lost.
7. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from your Settings page. Upon deletion, all data is permanently removed.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms. Email-registered users will be notified of material changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
